Raid. Plunder. Sail home. Nordrstein: Vikings Together is a cooperative Viking raiding game for 1 to 4 players. Your village faces a long northern winter, and the coastal settlements across the sea are rich. Pick a target on the map table, arm yourselves, row your longship across the water and take what they will not give. Every raid is a gamble. Come home with the plunder and the village grows. Fall in battle and the whole crew pays for it. How a raid unfolds Choose a target. The map table shows how dangerous each settlement is and how much plunder it holds. Prepare. Buy weapons, shields and health potions, pick a rune and hire warriors to fill the oars. Sail. Row together, run the ship onto the beach and blow the war horn to begin the attack. Plunder. Fight through guards, archers and shield bearers while the settlement burns around you. Return. Get everyone back aboard and sail home. The gold goes into the village treasury. Weighty melee combat Every swing has weight. Light and heavy attacks, charged strikes, blocks, parries, dodges and rolls all matter. A well timed parry leaves the enemy open to a deadly riposte, and strikes from behind hit harder. Pick your fighting style from short weapons, weapon and shield, axes, greatswords or dual wielding, and choose from dozens of weapons and shields, each with its own stats. Fight as a crew Play alone or with up to three friends online. A fallen friend is not lost yet. Kneel beside them and spend a health potion to get them back on their feet before time runs out. Hired warriors and archers row your ship, fight at your side and follow your lead. Bring them home alive and part of their fee returns to the treasury. Built in push to talk voice chat. Runes of the old gods Fifteen runes carry the magic of the North. Set your enemies ablaze, freeze the blood in their veins, strike them down with thunder or harden your body like steel. Every rune in the village treasury is shared by the crew, but each one can only be carried by a single warrior at a time. Your village between raids The plunder you bring back unlocks new buildings around the village. Listen to the village elder, spend your gold and unwind in the tavern. Enjoy the band, or challenge your friends to a beer drinking race. The last one still in their chair wins, and the losers stay drunk. Every raid is a gamble As its defenders fall, the settlement erupts in fire and explosions. If the whole crew falls, half of the plunder is lost. Hired warriors serve for a single raid. Those who fall do not come back.
